QPb25-5 is a multi-component copper alloy with copper as the matrix, containing 25% lead and 5% tin. It is produced by centrifugal casting, resulting in a microstructure that features finely dispersed free‑lead phases and tin‑based solid‑solution strengthening phases. This alloy exhibits excellent friction‑reducing properties, anti‑seizure performance, and corrosion resistance. Under boundary lubrication conditions, the lead phase forms a microscopic lubricating film, significantly lowering the coefficient of friction and endowing the bearing liner with superior self‑lubrication and anti‑adhesive capabilities, making it particularly suitable for high‑speed, heavily loaded operating conditions in the chemical industry where stable oil films are difficult to establish. The addition of tin refines the grain structure, enhancing the alloy’s strength and fatigue resistance, thereby effectively extending the service life of the bearing liner under cyclic loading. Moreover, this material demonstrates outstanding resistance to sulfuric acid, dilute hydrochloric acid, and various organic solvents, providing long‑term protection against corrosive chemical media and ensuring dimensional accuracy and mating stability in pumps, compressors, agitators, and other chemical‑process equipment.
